In the Pumpkin Patch

I've been working on this bit by bit while waiting at the chiropractor (for Lizzie) and during youth group when AJ isn't driving. This is the time of year that I get a little more stitching time... the high school football season is almost over (we're in the playoffs this Friday). That means an end to constant picking up and running for practice for marching band (Lizzie) and football (AJ). Wrestling will start soon. Lizzie has signed up and AJ is contemplating it. That might mean MORE stitching time while waiting for practices to be over and while actually attending the wrestling matches. If AJ participates, they will be on separate teams since Lizzie is 8th grade and AJ is a junior.

I hope to get a lot more done before the end of the year!

Kathie's WIPs

Well, it's time for me to finally post a few WIP pics. I have three things that have not sat long enough to be UFOs yet. I'm working diligently on Boo! Eek! Hiss! in the three separate pieces after having stitched it as a single design earlier this year. I worked on it Saturday while riding the bus to North Hills for the first band festival of the evening. I had my mini-clip-on lamp with me and tried to do some stitching on the way from NH to Peters Township for the second festival, but the bumpiness of the bus ride made it nearly impossible. My age is catching up with me and I just can't see the evenweave on a moving bus in the dark! HMMPH! Anyhow, I also have a start on "In the Pumpkin Patch" by Blue Ribbon Designs and the Witches Sampler from Cross Stitch & Country Crafts magazine from goodness knows how long ago. I think they stopped publishing that mag at least 5-6 years ago! Karen, Jana, and Barb have contributed to this project--they each stitched a witch when we were in a RR together a long, long time ago - like 2006, ladies??? I remember only because I worked on the hedgehog that was Barb's piece while I was cooped up in the house in Virginia Beach while Hurricane Alberto dumped 8 inches of rain in less than 24 hours. So, anyhow, enough of my rambling. They're here. I think they speak for themselves. I don't think there's much progress on the witches sampler since the last time I posted it here.

Kathie's WIPs

I know this is Tuesday. I did not stop stitching last night to make sure I got my picture taken, loaded to the computer, and posted to the blog. I STITCHED for a few minutes. Looking forward to some stitching time this weekend. I think I need to hurry up and get some stitching done before the madness of March sets in around here - and I do NOT mean College Basketball Fever. I think I could really use a HUGE snowstorm on a Sunday night that keeps us all (including Amanda) stuck here for at least a day or two! Right now, though, it's a balmy 48. We're supposed to get SNOW tonight, but I don't understand how THAT will happen with the temperature so high!

Well, enough of my rambling. Off to get more stitching done!

Kathy's WIP 14/01/08

Ok here is a pic of my Halloween Gameboard before taking it to the hospital. I will update next Monday as to my progress.
I am sitting here playing on the computer rather than packing.
