Quick Stitch Weekend 4-25-09

I have not had a Quick stitch weekend in ages but this last weekend I had this one. I was brousing around on my EMS group one day and found this cute little guy. I changed the colors just a bit because of the dark fabric.

One a Day

My Friday Finish
Father Time the first in the Vermilion set. Took about a week from start to finish. Will now go into a drawer and await the other 11.

My QSW
The cats were done in two colors but you can't tell from the photo.Done on Saturday I used DMC 434 and 3685
The heart was done on Sunday and in DMC 3685. Only took just a few hours to complete this quickie.

My new WIPS

Here is what I have been working on since Christams. They are Angels by Ruth Hanke. I am not sure that the pattern is avaliable any more. I have done the two 3" ones to the point of cutting. That will be done when they all are ready to be cut. The colours are hard to see with the pics I know.

This first one is with Caron Wildflowers Delphinium and cream accenting.



This one here is white with blue accenting.



These little ones take about 3 hours to do. Now I am ready to go do the 3 1/2" ones.

WIP Monday

yes, I know it is Tuesday but I didn't get a chance last night to post pics.
The top pic is TW The Storyteller and I stitch on that Friday nights. Then it is my Quick Stitch weekend LK Autumn Boxer , which is taking a little longer than I thought it would. And last is Glory Bee's BYOB. I am hoping to finish the LK tonight and then BYOB sometime soon lol.

I had planned on finishing it but am almost done. it is LK Autumn Boxer. I had to stitch a seasonal piece with 2 other groups so I chose this piece and thought it would be quick for a weekend. I will finish it tomorrow

My Current stuff

This is Wren Song designs on Antique White with Ecru floss. I will be making them into Hardanger Ornaments when I get them finished. Which will hopefully be this week sometime.

Semi Finish

I now have to cut the centers out so I can wrap the bars and make Hardanger ornaments.
The bookmark took me about a week only cause I didn't have alot of stitching time on it. The diamond took me about 3 hours to do on Saturday.

I forgot

I forgot to post this finish last night. It is the back to my Rhodes Butterfly Biscornu by The Sweetheart Tree. I decided that I did't want the back and front exactely the same so here is what I did. I have started the front and am hoping it will be done today or tomorrow.

Well off to work in the garden.

Another finish for me.

Here is the second fish that goes int he center of the baby blanket. I finished him Friday and started the ducky in the inner tube. Hopefully ducky will be done tomorrow.

2 Finishes and a WIP

Here is my second Baby blanket. I am doing the 4 corners and the 2 center squares just for something different. This is square #2. The second fish.The green fish is the first center square. I did him 4 times. He is full of mistakes but I was not taking him out again. You would never know unless you had the pattern right there and did a line by line search.

Here is the first corner. This little fish was a fairly quick stitch only took me two days.

QSW

Hi All, I had a QSW finish. I stitched it in about 5 hours. It was a fun stitch, thanks Mercy for the PIF. Sandy P.

This little guy is the first of 4 dino's I am doing on a baby blanket. I started him on Thursday and finished him tonight.
